I am showing this slide simply because all of us are going to be having this challenge of, you know, several or even many medications and then how does the body handle this with age? Kidney function, liver function is not the same with age. One drug interferes with another or this is a drug-disease interaction.
多剤併用の問題は今後皆さんが抱えることになる問題です。その説明のためにこのスライドを用意しました。加齢に伴い、腎機能や肝機能には変化が起きます。ある薬が他の薬に影響を与えるということで、薬物・疾患相互作用といいます。
For example, maybe your heart condition is compensated but the doctor gives you a diuretic and now you have to go to the bathroom more often, but your prostate is a problem, so you now have a drug-disease interaction where you develop incontinence; you wouldn't have had incontinence if your prostate was healthy, so you begin to get into all these complications and then this is a huge topic I can, we can't discuss it in general.
