So some patients, it's a partial injury, meaning it comes back on its own, so sometimes we watch it depending on, you know, when the ear nose and throat doctors look in there and they see movement that's something we'd probably watch. If we're not seeing movement then it doesn't mean that it's gone forever. It means it could just be stunned.

And so what the ear nose throat doctors can do is they borrowed a little bit from the plastic surgeons so they can actually inject filler into the vocal cord and beef it up so that where it's separated by injecting it they beef it up so it can meet midline so then people get their voice back and their airways protected so they can start eating. Some patients need repeat procedures until it comes back.
