So, today as Eileen had mentioned, it's basically an overview of Marfan syndrome understanding the basics.
先程、Eileenの方からもありましたが、本日はマルファン症候群の概要について説明させていただきたいと思います。
I am a pediatric cardiologist and I will admit that it was a little bit tough for me to not focus too much on the heart on this presentation and keep it more general, but I've done my best and hopefully, you'll get much of the information that you need at least starting out with Marfan from this talk.
私の専門は子供の循環器ですが、今回のプレゼンではあまり心臓のことに深入りせずになるべく全体的な説明を、ということですので、多少プレッシャーを感じています。ですが、できる限りの準備はしてきましたし、私のお話から皆さんがマルファン症候群と向き合えるだけの情報を多く得ていただければ幸いです。
So, the objectives today will be to learn about Marfan syndrome including what causes this condition, who is affected, and what are common signs.
では、本日の目標ですが、マルファン症候群の原因、マルファン症候群となるのはどのような人か、マルファン症候群に共通にみられる特徴などを理解していただくことです。
We will consider some of the related disorders with findings that may overlap with Marfan syndrome. We'll discuss how Marfan syndrome is diagnosed and some common test you might expect when undergoing evaluation and briefly review some of the recommended management. Again, not going into too much detail because that will be coming up in further series down the line.
マルファン症候群と一部重なる特徴を示す可能性のある関連疾患についても紹介します。マルファン症候群の診断方法や、よく行われる検査、それから簡単にですが、推奨される対処方法などをお話します。先程も申しましたが、今回のお話では細部には深入りはしません。詳しい内容については、今後のシリーズで扱われると思います。
