Somebody, you know, pectus excavatum is a major finding in Marfan or the indented chest, one, which test should somebody get? One doctor told this person that they should not get an echo and instead get a cardiac MRI. Does that interfere with testing? What's your recommendation? What have you seen?

So it depends on. A lot of times the first test if it's a CT you'll end up seeing the pectus or the MRI you end up seeing the pectus and the, the severity of pectus is too. You know, I've seen where severity of the pectus excavatum causing compression of the right ventricle because that's the part of the heart, that's right behind the sternum and that can cause decreased blood flow through that area and that MRI shows it really well. My first choice would be to do if you have significant pectus along with Marfan to do a complete cardiac MRI for, as the first test and then they can be followed in future. If your pectus is very small it's not of any clinical significance they can be followed with non-contrast imaging or echo in future.
