Well, I can tell you my answer. Very little information exists about health in people who have a chronic aortic dissection. But there certainly is risk if bacteria should gain access to the blood stream.

You know, I had a patient last year, who had a chronic dissection and then unfortunately did, did have an illness where he had bacteria in the bloodstream and then the, the chronic dissection became infected.

So yes, there's more vulnerability, but, however, I think for most illnesses that are respiratory illnesses, probably not the significant increased risk.
