So Dr. Dietz, we'd like to ask you whether what does "increase from COVID" mean? Does it mean you have an increased risk for contracting COVID or does it mean that you have an increased risk for severe complications if you've got.

Those are great questions. Most relevant to this group tonight, I think that we're gonna be focusing on an increased risk for severe features of COVID 19 illness. We do not hope that many or most people with Marfan syndrome or related connective tissue disorders are at increased risk to contract the infection that causes COVID 19 but we do think that there are small subsets of our community who could be at increased risk for severe manifestations of this infection and therefore, that should adhere to special precautions to try to avoid the illness and to get early medical input if they think they might be infected.

Okay, thanks. So it means that if you just have a Marfan diagnosis, vEDS or Loyes-Dietz or familiar aortic aneurysm, that doesn't automatically put you at high risk. It really depends on an individual basis depending on the different characteristics that they have.
