Sure, so we do know that the DNA change in Loeys-Dietz syndrome, it's present in all the cells and we do know that the TGF beta pathway is one of the very big pathways that affects how white blood cells act, how easily they are to excite, how, how they're able to be calmed down and it's also part of the pathway that helps them recognize what is an invader versus what is part of your own tissue or what's a protein from a food you ate or protein from pollen that just happened to get stuck to the inside of your nose when you are outside and it does make the cells a little bit more likely to be activated and so you can get an increase in cells being over activated and recognizing parts of your body they shouldn't and triggering an attack against them.
