There are many skeletal features that are seen in Loeys-Dietz syndrome, including the long fingers that we often observe in people with Marfan syndrome.

Many of the joints can be loose, but for some unexplained reason, the finger joints can actually be tight, something that we call joint contracture. Again this is something important to recognize early and often a physical therapist can help maximize function of tight joints.

Chest wall deformity is common: the chest wall can protrude outward or indent inward. This is something that typically doesn't cause a medical problem but often can be a significant cosmetic problem that young people would prefer to have fixed and there are effective ways of dealing with chest wall deformity.

And then curvature the spine, so called scoliosis, is also common in Loyes-Dietz syndrome and if severe if, if greater than about 25 degrees or so can require really specific treatments, sometimes treated with bracing, sometimes requiring a surgical procedure.
