You know, most of the really dangerous stuff is gonna happen during the hospital stay. You know, we don't let people out of the hospital unless we think it's safe to do so but sometimes we see that ,you know, it's a big trauma to your chest wall and into your body and you can have some inflammation so sometimes some fluid will collect in the spaces in your chest like next to a lung or even in the space around your heart we call that an effusion and that can make you short of breath and that that may need to be drained, treated with some medicine.

The other thing is abnormal heart rhythm so atrial fibrillation is really common after any surgery in the chest including, you know, esophagus and lung and that's because the heart's kind of irritable from us being there is the way I think about it.

Usually atrial fibrillation happens within the first couple days that the peak incidence is day two after surgery but some people they didn't have any afib and then they go home and they get afib and that's what we always call it atrial fibrillation afib, it might happen a week or two later and what you might feel is palpitations or a racing heart and if that heart rate's really fast it's something that needs to be addressed and can be treated with medicine.
通常、心房細動は術後数日以内に起きます。術後2日目が発症のピークですが、発症せずに退院される方もいますし、術後一週間経過した後で起きる方もいます。動悸が自覚症状ですが、心拍数が高すぎる場合には、薬による治療を行うこともあります。
